No one Kibbled that then.

I wonder if anyone has scored a World Cup five points in the history of Kibble?

Have just had a look through the results from previous year, and *it's never happened*. Ever.

I seem to remember a meeting of the Kibble rules committee where we discussed amending this so that you get the five points if four-or-more goals are scored (instead of five-or-more). However, I think Dr. Booze interrupted the discussion and the only decision that we ended up making was that it was still early doors, therefore there was time for another pint.

its pleasing to see Dave got it wrong entirely. There is hope for me to claw my way back up to second at least.

Does this mean that 7 of the korean "fans" will now be shot?

I didn't get it wrong *entirely*. I got it wrong by seven.

Exactly. Given that Dave Kibbled for North Korea to score 0 goals he was, technically, half right.

I think he should be awarded 1.5 points to reflect this and shall be lobbying on his behalf.

You could even argue that the seven goals scored would not have been scored against any kind of decent opposition and therefore should not be counted at all.

I think this kind of subjective evaluation of scores vs. kibbles has a lot going for it. I am about to study all my kibbles so far in light of this radical (and arguably fairer) new approach and will let you know what I think my kibble score should be corrected to.

On big-scoring games, I notice that Doug has kibbled a shock 12-2 victory for South Korea against Nigeria while everyone else in th group has gone for 1-1. Has he noticed some strange betting patterns or has there been a fat-fingered error?

Given that Doug has beautifully tapered pianist's (pianist's) fingers, I think we can only assume it's a bold prediction.

I salute this.

Damn! Err... I mean, I'll let you know after the game whether this was intentional or not.
