... to Mrs Kibble. This website is a triumph. (Not a car).

Everyone ready?

Palms... UP!

And raise.

And RAISE.

And... palms down.

Good.

Thank you so much, you kind, kind people. I only hope I can continue to fill Alan's over-sized shoes. I can't seem to find mine anywhere.

Yours, puffed up with pride and a happy glow,

- Mrs. K

My palms are up, flat and bemusedly supporting atop them the twin images of a giant question mark and Wayne Rooney. I thought we picked a scorer for the group stages as well as the knockout. In case you're wondering I, in a patriotic fervour, have picked Rooney as my scorer. On second thoughts maybe raising the roof was not the appropriate place for such a technical question. Go Team Kibble!!!

A late palming is never unwelcome.

Haa!

He looks like a unholy cross between Dirk Kuyt and George Peppard.

(So not at all unlike the real Rupert, then...)

Or a cross between Barry Cryer and Carlos The Jackal.

(Again, not unlike the real Rupert.)

I'd like to offer an additional pair of palms for the smooth and swift way that the site has transitioned from Round 1 to Round 2. Most impressive.

PALMS UP.

Dear Al,

Thank you very much kindly. Alan runs such a well-oiled that it made it *incredibly difficult* to get round two working. What kind of an idiot puts oil into a computer!

Alan.

(At least, I think it's oil.)

I am very pleased that it all went off without a hitch. (I am, of course, assuming that none of you got married in between rounds!)

Yours with sticky fingers (as usual),

- Mrs. K

J'ai les mains en l'air!

a lot of words to say the same thing.

I've got the feeling that my linguist of a husband would dare to say that English is better than French.
