Alan,

I see you have turned off the HTML option when composing posts. Is there another way of including images in the body of the message - i.e. displayed, not just as a URL?

I think the HTML is just off by default. Click on "Board Profile" (top right corner) and you should be able to change your options to turn it on.

Otherwise, you can use BBCode which is similar format but supposed to be slightly more simple:

More info on BBCode here: http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/faq.php?mode=bbcode

Close: except you need to use img, not image.

HTML is currently disabled for security reasons. If it is needed I may consider turning it on, but links, images and some formatting commands are covered by the BBCode.

Here is a better link, specifically about how to use BBCode: http://www.kibble-me-up.co.uk/forums/faq.php?mode=bbcode

Also, the "Always allow HTML" option in your board profile will have no effect unless I turn HTML on.

Alan

If any non-tecchie gimps have strayed onto this post by mistake, like myself, I advise you to get out now. Just run.

I got it to work by writing the IMG tag in capitals. I guess that this was important!

Nope - it works either way. Obviously some other ERROR.
