At the time of writing, there is the possibility that the Togo/Switzerland match might not go ahead.

If this ends up being the case, then the game will be scored as follows:

* People who kibbled that the game would be cancelled - 200 points.
* Everyone else - 0 points.

OK - That's not the real rule.

What will happen is that all the people kibbling the match will instead kibble a different match of my choosing, from the group stage. It will be a match from towards the end of the tournament which none of the relevant contenders are already kibbling. This score will count towards their group rankings and league position.

Let's hope it doesn't come to this! (as Mrs. Kibble said on our wedding night).

Love

Alan

Dear Alan,

Surely however the game needs to come before the end of the first round, because although the league wouldn't be affected, the kibble knock-out stages will be affected by the game

Alan, I await you.

The astute reader will notice that I said that affected contenders will 'kibble a different match of my choosing, from the group stage'.

By 'tournament' in the following sentence, I of course meant the group tournament, not the entire world cup.

That would be mental.

Well, thankfully the game has gone ahead as planned.

Let's hope there's no more of this West African dissent.

Incidentally, Mrs. Kibble's brother-in-law is of West African descent.
