Newcastle v Lillestrom - Saturday 15 July.

Your kibbles please.

Dunno - Newcastle have got one fit "striker" in Albert Luque-warm talent and Lillestrom are a Scandinavian team and therefore either shit, annoying or both.

Two-nil the Toon

Oh GOD.

1-0 Toon - a mis-hit corner kick will collide with Titus Bramble's eNORmous hind quarters and dribble across the line. Thus raising the unrealistic hopes and expectations of The Geordie Nation (TM) for another ultimately futile and frustrating campaign of disappointments and PR blunders.

2-1 Newcastle. Scrappy. Bad tempered. A winning penalty from Nicky Butt on 78 minutes after Lillestrom's streaky equalising free kick on 47 mins "What a time to score" from Bjorn Helge Riise, brother of the ginger Liverpool left back.

Their manager Uwe Rosler to get sent from the stands for screaming obscenities at Terry McDermott.

Lillestrom realise they can't play due to tax reasons and send the Abba Tribute band "Bjorn Again" in their place.

Bjorn Again win 1:0 after 54th minute penalty by Tribute Bjorn Ulvaeus after Tribute Anetha Faltskog is brought down just inside the box.

After that, a dispirited Newcastle are unable to get back into the game despite an 8 man advantage after Tribute Benny Andersson is sent off in the 70th minute for speaking Swedish.

That's my view but it might not happen.

ha HAAA! Glorious. The scenario you have just outlined would be massively more interesting than the actual game itself.

There's a shop called ABBA Electronics on Kentish Town Road. If you change your mind you're the first in line. Etc, etc.

In another bizarre Abba-related naming coincidence, there's a station in London called "Waterloo".

I know, I go there every day, I'm not making it up. It's really true.

When I was editor of Nouse, I got a backstage pass for Bjorn Again at the York Barbican Centre (also home to the UK Snooker Championship). I drank a warm can of Strongbow with aforementioned tribute Agnetha and tried to chat her up, unsuccesfully. She was Australian.

Beat that!

Bjollocks! Is that true?

AND you've met the chuckle brothers...

It's absolutely true. Might have been a can of Hoffmeister, but the rest is 100% fact.

Bloody Australians. Come over here, take all our jobs...

Not just the bar jobs but now the Europop Tribute Celebrity Impersonation jobs too! Where will it end? With an Australian Tribute Rolf Harris?

The mind shudders.

(if you bob your head up and down really quickly)

When you say you got "a backstage pass to Bjorn Again"...

is that some sort of depraved innuendo?

I hope so.
