I'm delighted to see Ronaldo through to the semi finals. Losing is so much harder to take in the final. His tears at Euro 2004 made my year.

2006 will not be complete until he wipes the snotty-tissued tears from his grubby little gypsy face after missing the penalty that consigns Portugal to their second final defeat in two years the theiving, conniving little cheating disgrace to associate football.

Followed, of course, by Rooney twatting him if/when Ronaldo turns up at United training ground... and then a career ending injury.

"I think there's every chance that Wayne Rooney could go back to the Manchester United training ground and stick one on Ronaldo because he hasn't helped him there."

Alan Shearer, with an audience of 20m viewers.

Good?

ummm, Rooney did actually, with malice aforethought, stamp deliberately on an opponent's tesicles for no other reason than his own players were incapable of passing a football to him.

This, technically speaking, makes 'the future of English football' a rampaging thug, in thrall to his impoverished mental faculties, with no capacity for sportsmanship, compassion or collective responsibility. The man is an infantile, self-obsessed moron who deserves nothing more than the scorn of his peers and countrymen.

. . . unlike Graham Souness who a) was a poet in boots and b) achieved the very peak of his considerable powers while playing at the World Cup with Scotland. . .

Nothing to do with Rooney. Ronaldo is still a cheating cunt.
